Supporting legal pathways for children on the move
Flüchtlingsrat Niedersachsen is an independent, nationwide human rights organisation advocating for refugee rights. They work to reduce discrimination, facilitate better reception conditions, enable employment and qualifications, and ensure that refugees in Lower Saxony have a future. They also help ensure access to asylum procedures and support refugees in their struggle for recognition, while promoting their participation and integration.
Linked to Family for Every Child’s goal of working with children outside of adult care, Flüchtlingsrat Niedersachsen supports children on the move, including via family reunification, job market integration, and advocacy initiatives. They help provide tailored support to young people through their networks, aiming to facilitate access to youth care, school, work, accommodation and support. Flüchtlingsrat Niedersachsen aims to empower youth on the move and to strengthen their capacity to act in situations where their rights are being infringed.
Approach
Flüchtlingsrat Niedersachsen are committed to a refugee policy characterised by openness and humanity. They support all refugees regardless of their status and fight together with them for their legal claims related to German, international refugee and international law. They also campaign for a Europe of human rights, refugee protection and solidarity.
