Dear supporters,
It’s times like these, when we are so deeply grateful for your continued support. Change is in the air globally, and the world of child protection is in crisis, too. It’s tough for so many, and your support means all the more to us because of this.
The abrupt pause in USAID funding – along with cuts from other international donors – has left a devastating gap in resources for vulnerable children and families worldwide. Across our alliance, the impact is immediate and severe: vital services are shutting down, frontline staff are being let go, and children who rely on our support are at risk of losing the care they desperately need.
In the face of these challenges, our commitment remains unwavering. Family for Every Child has always been about resilience. We stand for locally-led, community-driven solutions that endure, no matter the obstacles. But, we also want to remind you of the good things, which is why we’re bringing this edition of Family Matters back to one of the simplest joys in life: making food with your loved ones. We asked four members to share their favourite recipes, giving our donors the chance to learn about the incredible work they support, while delving into the tastes of the cultures and communities in which our members work. We hope you enjoy these recipes and insights!
On the back cover, you’ll find our urgent appeal to help navigate the current financial crisis. The road ahead is difficult, but together, we can ensure that no child is left behind. People power is urgently needed and we hope that you join us in fighting the good fight.
Your generosity means the world. Thank you so much for being here.

Chair of the Board
