News in brief

Our new website is now live. Here you’ll find stories, the latest news, a wide range of resources and research, and our podcast.

We’ve begun the process of developing global guidelines on kinship care. It is a neglected area for policymakers and, with one in 10 children around the world living in kinship care, additional support is essential. These guidelines will be a valuable tool in convincing governments, UN agencies and NGOs about the need to make this support a priority.

We’re thrilled to welcome a new organisation to our global alliance – INSAF. Based in Morocco, they provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable mothers and children, and campaign for their rights. Read more about how they work at familyforeverychild.org/insaf.

This spring, we were invited by the Elevate Children Funders Group to talk about why our local-first model is so important in building a more equitable society. We spoke on the decolonisation of aid, why it matters and how we’re ‘doing charity differently’. Learn more about our model at familyforeverychild.org/how-we-work
