Our newest member pioneers child protection in the Middle-East

20 Mar, 2015

After welcoming Taller de Vida to Family for Every Child (Family) earlier this month, we are pleased to introduce our newest member: the Jordan River Foundation (JRF).

Founded by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 1995, JRF has been pioneering child protection in the Middle-East and will bring this invaluable experience and perspective to Family, broadening our reach and impact on the protection and care of children globally.

JRF works for a Jordan where the wellbeing of children shapes society’s future, where solutions are homegrown and where the opportunity to prosper is for all. Through its Child Safety Program, JRF offers prevention and intervention services which strengthen positive healthy interactions between family members, improve child protection, lower the rates of violence, secure comprehensive rehabilitation services for child victims of violence and raise the capacity of other child rights and protection organisations nationally through exchange of experiences, education and training.

Up to 7 Jordanian children out of every 100 are sexually abused by family members and schools teachers and administrators.
