Blue Umbrella Day: Raising awareness of sexual violence affecting boys

3 Feb, 2021

An estimated 1 in 6 boys worldwide are affected by sexual violence before they are 18.

At Family for Every Child, we believe it’s time to draw attention to this often hidden issue.

That’s why, this Friday April 16th, we’re launching the first-ever Blue Umbrella Day. This is an international day that draws attention to the need to better protect boys against sexual abuse, assault and exploitation.

Take part

Blue Umbrella Day is led by our Changemakers in Guyana, India, Paraguay and the Philippines; but organisations and individuals anywhere can take part in raising awareness for boys.
