In March, we launched our Ukraine Crisis Appeal to support children and families in vulnerable situations caused by the conflict. All funds raised went directly to local organisations working on the ground in Ukraine and the region. Here, Dilyana shares an update on how the money has been helping those in urgent need.
“So far, we have transported over six tons of humanitarian aid for children and families in Ukraine and the region – thank you for your invaluable support that has made this possible.
Along with a special video message for you from our frontline team at the Ukraine border, I am excited to share an update on how we are utilising your funds. With your help, we have:
- Safely moved over 200 children from institutions in Kyiv and Chernivtsi
- Provided food, hygienic products, nappies, baby formula and clothes for over 200 families
- Supplied educational material, tablets and mobile devices for over 50 children in Ukraine to continue online school
- Launched a special program for Ukrainian families with small children taking refuge in Bulgaria. Two social workers and two translators are helping over 100 families with small children with disabilities or developmental challenges. They will also provide support through the period of adaptation in Bulgaria, ensuring they receive social, health, legislation and other assistance.
I can’t thank you enough for your vital support during this crisis.”
On behalf of everybody at Family for Every Child, thank you for your support.
