Overview

This is our second interview on the topic of ‘Care during COVID-19’. Which has seriously highlighted the gross inequalities that exist globally not only between countries but within countries. Even in well resourced countries such as the UK, which will be our focus today, some families and children have experienced incredible hardships, domestic violence has gone up significantly, financial pressures have increased and the ability to maintain education from a home environment has proved deeply challenging.

In this podcast, we hear from John Turberville, who is the COO at The Mulberry Bush, one of our Member organisations based in the UK. They have a school which provides specialist residential therapeutic care, treatment and education for children aged 5-13 from across England and Wales, who are made vulnerable by their severe social, emotional and behavioural issues.
